Anthony developed a cancerous condition called Metastatic Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma in 2020 when he was only 6 years old. He had to undergo a total excision of his thyroid gland and its surrounding tissues, he also had to go through a several cycles of radioactive iodine therapy as part of his cancer treatment.

Gill's Story
When Gill was 4 years old, she developed a Ewing’s Sarcoma (a type of bone cancer) in her left leg. She was rushed into Black Notley hospital in Essex and the cancer was removed. Gill’s leg was fortunately saved, however after receiving radium treatment further complications developed.
Mitchelle And Tarafi's Story
The General & Medical Foundation received an application for a grant for a wearable Oxygen Monitor and an Air Purifier from single mother Mitchelle living in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. Mitchelle’s little boy, Tarafi, aged 16 months suffers from a life-threatening condition in the form of idiopathic pulmonary haemosiderosis.
Lenny's Story
The General & Medical Foundation recently awarded a grant to a family living in Stamford to fund the purchase of some soft play equipment for their little boy, Lenny, who has a rare genetic disorder.

2020 Update

Festive fundraising fun!
This week the team at General & Medical held their annual Christmas Jumper Day, full of festive activities including a bake-off, pingo bingo and reindeer raffle.
General & Medical employees raise over £700 for charity!
Over the past month, the staff at General & Medical have put their fitness to the test, partaking in a variety of physical challenges including obstacles, running, and long-distance cycling to raise money for The General & Medical Foundation.

Last weekend, a group of employees at General & Medical Healthcare successfully completed the 10k Insane Terrain obstacle course at to raise money for The General & Medical Foundation.
