Festive fundraising fun!

Festive fundraising fun!

This week the team at General & Medical held their annual Christmas Jumper Day, full of festive activities including a bake-off, pingo bingo and reindeer raffle.

This year’s Christmas Jumper Day focused on raising money for The General & Medical Foundation. Everyone donned their most festive sweater and took part in a range of planned Christmas themed games and activities throughout the day.

This included a ‘festive bake-off competition’ where a number of people made their own delicious Christmas themed treats for staff to enjoy for a small donation. There was Christmas fudge, mince pies, pastry Christmas trees, chocolate reindeer cupcakes and lots more!

Four teams also competed to be named the overall champions by taking part in three games, the first was ‘The Longest Paper Chain’, the second was ‘The Best Gingerbread House’ and the final game was the ‘Christmas Chopstick Challenge’. The winning team at the end of the day was IT (Santa’s Little Elves)

As well as games and food, staff got to vote for the best dressed Christmas pet and had a guess of ‘how many sweets in the jar’.

It was a fantastically successful day, as well as igniting some terrific team building and festive spirit, the team raised a total of £66.25 was raised for the charity!
