2020 Update

Helping hands

We are nearly half way through 2020, and what a year it is turning out to be. Life for most has been greatly interrupted, with office and school closures, as well as huge disruption to events and holidays.

The coronavirus pandemic may have changed everyone’s routines, but it’s also seen communities, families and businesses pull together to support each one another and adapt to a new norm.

Here at The General & Medical Foundation we are embracing this change of pace, and whilst taking all the necessary measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19, we continue to operate and process all incoming grant applications.

This month

Obviously as a result of the global pandemic our fundraising plans have been temporarily interrupted. However, as developments continue and further guidance is released we are rethinking our strategy and hope to proceed with our plans in a few months’ time.

In the meantime, we are delighted to have been supporting a number of fantastic charities, including Mind, Marie Curie and The Cystic Fibrosis Trust. Our donations will go towards the wonderful work they are doing to help those suffering from life changing disorders and mental health illness.

The General & Medical Foundation aims to help people who have been affected by medical conditions or disabilities by providing financial support for their medical needs and equipment to help aid lives. If you would like to donate towards the work we are doing please click here.

We are welcoming applications from individuals who want to apply for a grant* to help them acquire equipment or treatment that would aid them in their daily activities. If you know of a friend or family member who would benefit from this grant please ask them to contact us at or please click here to apply online.

*All applications for grants are subject to eligibility.
